Condolences going out to the family of veteran comic, Bernie Mack. Mack passed away at the young age of 50. Bernie has been suffering from various illnesses since around the time his show, “The Bernie Mack Show” was on the air.
The comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.
Mack was a talented actor and comedian who starred in films alongside Eddie Murphy in “Life”, with Ice Cube in “Friday” and most notably, alongside George Clooney and Brad Pitt in the “Ocean’s 11″ franchise movies. Bernie Mack is from Chicago, IL and attended CVS high school on the southside of Chicago. My heart goes out to him and his family.
